I am so happy to offer a review of Jeanenne Bell’s latest edition of what I have always said is the “Bible” for any vintage jewelry enthusiast! I am the proud owner of all the editions of this wonderful book and have seen a wonderful progression from black and white photos to beautiful color pics in this latest edition. Jeanenne is one of the foremost authorities in this field and is so talented in passing on her vast knowledge to those of us who have collected for many, many years as well as to the novice! This book is highly recommended to all who love jewelry and the history behind the styles. And on a personal note, may I say that having had the distinct privilege of meeting the author at one of our Vintage Fashion and Costume Jewelry Club conventions a few years back, I can truly say that she is just as nice as she seems to be on the Antiques Roadshow! Keep up the good work, Jeanenne!

This book provides a great deal of information in a readable, easy-to-follow format. However, the best thing about this volume is the colour photographs. The huge number of beautiful pieces on display in this book is very impressive and the quality of the examples of each style highlighted is wonderful. This is a terrific guide for the antique/vintage jewelry enthusiast and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

This ring looks so antique. With the gold, silver look, with the black outlines. NOT what it looks like. It came shiny silver, and the ring was made thin. Ring looks thicker on the picture, but its paper thin. Looks like a ring you get from a gum ball machine. Hopefully I get my money back. It’s to bad too, I really was looking forward to getting this ring. It looks beautiful on the picture.
